Mr. Yim is a Senior Associate at Rome LLP, where he represents clients in high-stakes commercial litigation and regulatory matters. While he maintains a focus on the cryptocurrency and financial technology sectors, Mr. Yim regularly litigates a broad spectrum of complex business disputes, including matters involving breach of contract, fraud, and intellectual property.

He combines technical fluency in emerging technologies with a deep background in federal litigation to provide strategic counsel to technology platforms, institutional investors, and diverse corporate entities navigating sophisticated legal challenges.

Prior to joining Rome LLP, Mr. Yim was a senior member of the cryptocurrency and blockchain practice at a top-tier international law firm. In this role, he specialized in litigating digital asset disputes and providing strategic regulatory counsel on tokenomics, decentralized finance (DeFi) compliance, and cross-border money transmission. His practice also involved representing clients in high-profile investigations and enforcement actions led by the SEC and DOJ.

Mr. Yim’s trial-ready approach was honed at a premier trial-focused litigation boutique known for handling the nation’s most challenging commercial matters. There, he managed a diverse range of high-value cases, including multi-million dollar contract and fraud disputes for market-leading technology companies, trade secret misappropriation and copyright infringement actions, and large-scale multi-district litigation involving mass torts and environmental claims.

Mr. Yim previously served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Hon. Cormac J. Carney in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
