Sridavi Ganesan

Sridavi Ganesan is a Partner with Rome LLP and has extensive litigation experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts. Her practice includes representing clients in general commercial, real estate, intellectual property, and Internet-related litigation matters.

Ms. Ganesan’s intellectual property experience includes handling trademark, trade dress, copyright and patent infringement issues, trade secrets, and Lanham Act violations. She successfully defended a highly trafficked, user-generated content site against enforcement of a judgment involving the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. She successfully obtained a preliminary injunction against a celebrity artist popular in the U.K. in favor of the artist’s management company, to prevent the sale of artwork in violation of the company’s copyrights.

Sridavi Ganesan is a Partner with Rome LLP and has more than a decade of commercial litigation experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts.

She also represents executives and high-net-worth individuals in Internet-related litigation matters, such as developing litigation strategies in defamation cases to unmask online sources and remove false information.

Her recent successes include securing the dismissals of Disney, CBS, and NBC in a nationwide class action, the successful representation of a prominent payment processor in prolonged litigation with a regional bank, the representation in a personal injury matter against a large residential complex in which she helped secure an eight-figure settlement for the plaintiffs, securing class certification and eventual settlement on behalf of past and current tenants against a high-end apartment complex, and the representation of the second largest retail domain name registrar in a number of trademark disputes.

Ms. Ganesan has also worked with companies in the lending and finance industries in a variety of litigation matters, including disputes under state and federal laws and a variety of common law claims. This includes claims involving TILA, RESPA, FCRA, FDCPA, and the California Homeowner Bill of Rights.

Ms. Ganesan is admitted to practice in the State Courts in California; the Central, Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of the United States District Court in California; and in the Bankruptcy Court of the United States District Court, Northern District of California.
