Eugene Rome is a Los Angeles trial attorney widely recognized for his work in payment processing litigation. He represents acquirers, ISOs, merchants, agents, processors, and platforms in complex disputes involving billing practices, reserve and fund holds, chargebacks, merchant account terminations, platform and payment system controls, fraud, and breach of contract.
His notable representative matters include a $42.5+ million arbitration award in 2025 in a cryptocurrency investment fraud matter involving the “Bitcoin Latinum” project, with findings of securities violations, fraud, and related claims. He also secured a $9 million jury verdict in a dispute over the diversion of payment processing funds through a coordinated scheme involving a foreign bank and related entities.
He has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer in Intellectual Property Litigation, Banking, and Business Litigation every year from 2021 through 2027.
